We are delighted to announce that Rachel Kelly, Reading Matters Chief Executive has recently been elected to the ACEVO board of trustees. ACEVO (for those who might not know!) stands for the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations and is the leading voice of the UK’s charity and social enterprise sector. Rachel’s appointment is a wonderful opportunity for us to raise our profile nationally and represent smaller regional charities at this influential forum.
The long-established Children’s Bookshop in Lindley, Huddersfield is marking a change in management with a flash book sale tomorrow from 9am to 8pm. There are hundreds of titles available at 50% and 25% off the retail price and schools can also be invoiced.
Early Bird Reminder
Don’t forget to book your place at the Reading Matters Conference on July 9th. If you book before the 26th of March you can take advantage of the Early Bird rate of £90 per person – a £20 saving on the full ticket price. This year the theme will be ‘Bringing Literacy to Life’ and we are delighted to have the author Tom Palmer as one of the confirmed speakers.
Happy Reading!
